Missy Korduner, PhD serves as an Assistant Professor for Professional Practice with the LSU School of Leadership and Human Resource Development. In her role, she teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate online programs and directly advises all graduate students enrolled in the three online programs - a graduate certificate in Workforce Development, MS in Leadership & Human Resource Development, and an MS in Leadership & Human Resource Development with a concentration in workforce development. She loves the opportunity to blend her professional interests, ATD involvement, and her career! In addition to her Assistant Professor role, she serves as an adjunct with the LSU School of Education supporting the practicum experience for graduate students enrolled in the Higher Education Administration program. She has over 16 years of experience focused on training and development of student leaders, transition programs, and program evaluation and assessment. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she volunteers with Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women as a member of the Leadership & Nominating Committee, assisting with the recruitment, appointment, and onboarding of Fraternity volunteers. She holds a PhD in Human Resource Education from LSU, an MA in Education (Higher Education/Student Affairs) from the University of Connecticut, and a BA in Music from the University of Connecticut. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 year old son, running, and playing with her 2 rescue dogs. PRESIDENT ELECT
Mechelle Roberthon is a Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) through the Association of Talent Development. Currently she serves as a Senior Learning Partner for Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS). Her background includes training delivery, performance improvement, managing learning programs, and interpersonal/business/personal skills. She is pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Learning and Organizational Change from Baylor University, and holds a Masters of Science in Education with a specialization in Training and Performance Improvement. Mechelle is also an experienced career and professional development instructor. She has taught over 500 corporate courses with her evaluations consistently rating above average. Her dynamic teaching style has become a favorite amongst learners.
Chynsia Robertson is on a mission to help organizations develop leaders who share her excitement in uplifting and supporting the needs of our local community and beyond. By implementing programs of service that target communities of interest and following the needs of forgotten or abandoned citizens, Chynsia is constantly striving to implant the importance of taking responsibility for alleviating our area’s concerns in the minds of each person with whom she interacts. Through her work as the Learning & Development Manager at b1BANK in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she has dedicated her time to establishing effective programs that focus on developing all employees, managers, and leaders to enhance their professional skills that align with the organization’s strategic goals and culture. Outside of the office, you can find Chynsia volunteering with the Association for Talent Development (ATD) Baton Rouge Chapter, where she currently serves as the Past-President after holding the President position in 2019, the VP of Membership position in 2017, the VP of Marketing & Communications position in 2015, and the Publications Chair in 2014. Through her work with ATD’s Baton Rouge Chapter, she has begun forging relationships with community non-profits to provide training and coaching led by the ATD members spanning over a dozen industries. Chynsia believes that by helping organization leaders enhance their skills, she is in turn aiding in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the initiatives in which they are promoting. When she’s away from the office and the boardroom, you can find Chynsia gathering with the women of Books & Belles, the monthly book club she established to connect friends from all walks of life and working on her calligraphy skills.
Lyndon is a Corporate Trainer at Coca-Cola Bottling Company United. He began his career at CCBCU as a merchandiser in 2002 and now has over 17 years of experience in the beverage industry. He has been promoted to several positions in the sales and distribution departments along the way including Area Manager in sales. He transitioned to his role in Learning and Organizational Development in 2015. During his time in the department he has been promoted to a level 3 trainer which is the highest training designation for the organization. Lyndon prides himself on contributing to the success of CCBCU’s expansive legacy of providing premier products and services for more than 100 years. He facilitates technical processes, ethics and compliance courses, as well as leadership skills to management and leaders throughout the entire organization. In addition, he designs learning courses and assists his department with developing training plans and maintaining the learning management system. He has been a member of ATDBR since 2015 and is a member of ATD National as well. In 2019, he earned the Associate Professional in Talent Development certification from the ATD Certification Institute. Lyndon has a passion for personal development and fitness. His other hobbies include traveling and playing guitar. He also enjoys investing, stock trading, and being a member of his local church. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his loving wife and three children.
Jenelle Roblin is currently the Assistant Vice President of Learning & Development at Campus Federal Credit Union. Her primary role is to manage the resources engaged in the design, development, and delivery of the training and development programs for Campus Federal Credit Union. Her area of expertise is operations, compliance, management, and leadership training. She manages a remarkable team that allows the department to provide training to meet organizational goals. She is a member of a Service Team that participates in community service activities at OLOL and LSU. She also oversees the Young Professional Network and Mentor Program. Jenelle has over 24 years in banking and 15 years in a training role. Her interests include reading, traveling and hosting ‘get together’ for friends and families. She enjoys watching her daughter in theater productions and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.
Renada W. Deschamp is a Sr. Learning Partner in the Learning and Leading Department of Human Resources at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Renada serves as one of three primary learning and development professionals for the 10,000+ employee organization, where she focuses her work on assessing organizational needs, developing and facilitating training for all levels of the organization, providing organizational and performance solutions for employees and instructional design. Prior to rejoining the FMOL Health System in 2017, she served as the Talent Development Specialist for Community Coffee Company. Renada has over 10 years experience in Human Resources in areas that include Recruiting, Employee Relations and Employee Benefits. She is particularly adept in performance management, coaching, facilitation, instructional design, and research and data analysis. Renada earned a Masters of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Southern University Baton Rouge. Latishia P. Anderson, MBA is a Senior Director of Customer Care Operations with Magellan Health Services. She has over 15 years of professional experience managing teams in various leadership roles. She focuses on team building, customer service operations, management rules of engagement and leadership awareness. Latishia has experience working for Fortune 500 companies and is known as a results-oriented leader with knowledge across multiple industries serving as a middle-level manager and internal consultant to other leaders. In addition to her role with Magellan Health Services, she is a certified motivational speaker, teacher and transformational coach with the John Maxwell Team. Through the study and practical application of John Maxwell’s proven leadership methods, she uses her corporate experience to add value and empower others to maximize their effectiveness in today’s consistently changing world. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Communication Studies and English Literature from Louisiana State University along with a Masters in Business Administration. She is a volunteer mentor for Pass the Torch Foundation which is an organization that focuses on helping young aspiring professionals to achieve their goals. She is the founder of Empowered Minds Consulting Group, LLC, a Leadership Training and Personal Development consulting business. In her spare time, she enjoys working in ministry, volunteering in the local community and spending quality time with her family.
Jennifer Schuelke is the Talent Development manager at Louisiana State Civil Service where she oversees the talent development and workforce development teams. Jennifer and her team help fulfill the State Civil Service goal to ensure the state is equipped with innovative workforce solutions designed to meet the unique needs of each state agency’s mission. Jennifer specializes in improvement science, competency modeling, and information management. Jennifer, a former LSU student-athlete and certified teacher, earned a Master’s degree in Leadership and Human Resources Development and a Bachelor’ s degree in English Education from LSU. Prior to joining the SCS team, Jennifer worked to design and implement competency-based programs in secondary education, in NFL sponsored non-profit academic programs, and in higher education. Accordingly, she has conducted workshops, served as a consultant for school districts, and presented on the national level. Jennifer’s passion for continual improvement along with her varied experiences designing competency-based systems, allows Jennifer the ability to develop flexible performance development and management solutions.
Emily Ellis completed a Bachelor in History in 2014, a Master in Teaching in 2016, and a Master in Leadership and Human Resources Development in 2019. She taught high school social studies for four years and was a Human Resources Consultant for the school district when not teaching. In 2018, she moved into Talent Development as the Training and Development Coordinator for The Lemoine Company in Baton Rouge.
Amanda Mckey is a Training Specialist at Campus Federal Credit Union. She began her career at Campus Federal in 2006. She has held many positions in the past 14 years including Teller, Financial Service Representative, Executive Assistant and her current role Training Specialist. Her training specialties include leadership and organizational development, talent management, e-learning, LMS (Learning Management System) administration, performance management, employee onboarding, Product Knowledge and Sales and Service. She is a member of a Service Team that participates in community service activities at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital and Louisiana State University and is actively involved in the Young Professional Network through the Louisiana Credit Union League When she is out of the office you can find her hosting parties, traveling and spending time with her two children and husband. |
