Job Overview:

APTIM is seeking a Talent Development Specialist to define, develop, coordinate, and collaboratively implement training to ensure employees have the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitude to perform their assigned tasks and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop and deliver training programs using a variety of delivery methods; classroom, elearning, webinars that are results-driven, creative, and innovative. Areas of focus include but are not limited to: Government Compliance, Security, Leadership Development, Project Management, Business Skills, Coaching, Health & Safety, Technical/Functional
  • Partner with subject matter experts and operational leadership to determine training needs and objectives
  • Implement communication strategies to raise awareness and promote learning and development opportunities
  • Manage day-to-day administrative functions for scheduling, attendance tracking, and system reporting
  • Monitor relevance and quality of course content and instructors and measure training effectiveness through evaluations, process feedback and modify programs, as needed
  • Administer the LMS (Learning Management System) content and resources
  • Support and maintain development programs (internships, apprenticeship, mentoring, other)
  • Conduct needs analysis to evaluate field and professional development needs
  • Support internal and external compliance audits
  • Work effectively as a team member with other members of management and the human resources staff
  • Assign special projects related to employee training, development, and retention



  • Five years of experience in an organizational development or human resource environment
  • Must have bachelor's degree in related field
  • Member of Association for Talent Development (ATD)
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent problem solving and communication skills in addition to a proactive attitude
  • Ability to drive results and ensure completion of time sensitive deadlines; project management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Talent and Learning Management Systems
  • Strong knowledge of elearning tools and other appropriate technology and methods for distance learning
  • Self-motivated and innovative with the ability to create momentum, drive programs and foster organizational change within a multi-faceted, lean team of HR professionals
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Vaccination against the COVID-19 virus is required for this position. APTIM will consider requests for exemption due to a qualifying medical condition or sincerely held religious belief or practice.
