Program Details



By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Describe each component of Articulate Storyline and its function
  • Create new projects – tips and tricks
  • Choose and modify player templates
  • Work with text, graphics and objects
  • Incorporate audio (including syncing your audio with animations, recording narration, and editing audio)
  • Incorporate video and web objects (media)
  • Create a quiz
  • Publish a course with LMS-specific requirements

Note: Students should be proficient with PowerPoint (i.e., creating animations, etc., using slide masters, using drawing tools, adding & formatting text, working with images, etc.

                  

 Speaker Details

 

Debbie Richards is a consultant, trainer, and speaker with many years of professional experience in the fields of eLearning in corporate, government, and regulatory organizations. President of Creative Interactive Ideas, Debbie supports clients in the area of instructional technology by mentoring them in the creation of technology-rich web-based courses using rapid development tools. She is an active tweeter who talks about emerging technologies and eLearning.  Debbie is a past president of the ATD Houston board and currently serves as the VP of Marketing and Communications.  Debbie was named one of the most influential people in corporate eLearning for 2017.

Parking Directions

 

Access the garage from East Campus Drive. 

  • Visitor parking spots are located on the second, third, and fourth floors in the Union Square Garage, attached to Barnes& Noble where the workshop will be held in the Event Room, on the second floor.
  • All visitor parking spaces in the Union Square Garage are metered from 7am to 8:00pm at $1.50 per hour - debit and credit cards can be used for payment.

 Cancellation Policy

As soon as you complete the registration process, you will be guaranteed a seat at this event.  The completed registration process initiates an invoice from your ATD Baton Rouge Chapter to you that may be paid online, by mail, or on the day of the event.

Event Cancellations received within 48 hours prior to an event may be eligible to receive a full refund.  Cancellations will be accepted via e-mail and should be sent to the VP of Hospitality at vphospitality@atdbatonrouge.org.  All refund requests must made by the member or credit card holder.  Refunds will be credited back to the original method of payment within 30 days from the date the payment was received.  Requests for cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.

ATD Baton Rouge Chapter

Your ATD Baton Rouge Chapter may have to pay for fees if you register and then cannot attend.  Please help us protect your chapter’s finances.  You can submit cancellations at least 48 hours before the event; otherwise, we will have to invoice you to cover these costs.  If that should happen, we will be happy to accept your registration for future events as soon as you have settled your outstanding balance.

What happens if I register and then cannot attend an event?

If you cancel at least 48 hours prior to the event, you will not be charged.  If you’ve already made payment, we will be happy to issue you a refund.  If you cannot cancel before 48 hours, please feel free to send someone else in your place.  Kindly send an email to vphospitality@atdbatonrouge.org so we can have materials prepared for that individual.  Our goal is to make sure that person feels as welcomed as possible.  :)
