Presentation: Managing Change from Control to Commitment
Leadership is all about building teams that win! Regardless of the circumstances around us, one thing hasn't changed. People want to be a part of a successful team and are looking now, more than ever, for strong leadership. This workshop will focus on the basics of leadership and what separates a good leader from a great one.
Speaker: Dr. Bill Slaughter
As founder and president of SSA Consultants, Bill Slaughter has helped guide the transformation and strategic direction for hundreds of small and large businesses, including many companies found on the Fortune 500 list.
He has provided leadership development and succession planning services for numerous organizations and is currently the lead instructor for the highly successful Baton Rouge Business Report’s Leadership Academy. He has authored several published case studies and has developed and produced several online training programs including, “How to Find, Hire, and Keep Good People” and iCapstone, a joint venture leadership development product with Hogan Assessments. An accomplished and sought-after speaker and trainer, Bill was invited in 2019 to serve as one of the mainstage speakers at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Summit to present his insights on, “Recruit and Retain Your Dream Team.”
In 2004, LSU’s E.J. Ourso College of Business recognized Bill's significant contribution in business, academia, and the community and inducted him into the Hall of Distinction. In 2012, he received the Volunteer Activist Award from the Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing Foundation for his commitment of more than 40 years dedicated to philanthropy and volunteerism in the Baton Rouge area.
