This session is designed for talent development practitioners focused on maximizing team potential and achieving exceptional training outcomes. By enhancing mental fitness and cultivating a high-performance culture, participants will learn to transition from a reactive, survival-oriented mindset to a proactive, thriving approach.

The session emphasizes the importance of self-command, intercepting negative thought patterns, and nurturing empathy and innovative thinking among team members.

By the end of this session, participants will possess practical tools that not only transform challenges into growth opportunities but also enhance collaboration and communication within their teams.

Learning Objectives:
• Understand the Brain's Regions: Distinguish between the Survive and Thrive regions of the brain to enhance emotional awareness and team dynamics.
• Identify and Manage the Judge Saboteur: Learn to intercept the Judge Saboteur to reduce both self-criticism and external judgment, promoting a supportive atmosphere.
• Weaken Accomplice Saboteurs: Recognize and address accomplice Saboteurs that hinder leadership effectiveness and team collaboration.
• Embrace the Sage Perspective: Practice adopting the Sage perspective to convert challenges into opportunities for personal and collective growth.

About our speaker:

Keesha B. Buteau is the Founder of Beacon of Light, a Coaching, Consulting, and Public Speaking company based in Lafayette, Louisiana. With a career spanning over 20 years, Keesha has distinguished herself as a leader in the coaching and professional development space. As a member of the Positive Intelligence coaching community and DISC Assessment practitioner, she empowers organizations and individuals to achieve sustainable growth and peak performance. Keesha is also a valued partner in Brand State U, a premier provider of training and development programs that enhance leadership capabilities across industries.

A graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Project Management, Keesha's extensive experience includes executive coaching, consulting, and leadership training. Her work spans C-suite executives, small and large for-profit companies, and non-profit organizations, where she is known for fostering trust, collaboration, and meaningful personal and professional growth.

Keesha’s influence extends beyond her business endeavors. She was recognized as one of Acadiana’s Top 20 Under 40 Young Leaders in 2020, celebrated as a Steel Magnolia in Acadiana Profile Magazine in January 2024, and honored as a Woman Making a Difference in Acadiana Lifestyle Magazine for her impactful leadership. Event cancellations received at least 48 hours prior to the event may be eligible to receive a refund for the event registration. Eligible cancellations will be accepted via email to treasurer@atdbatonrouge.org. All refund requests must be made by the member or credit card holder. Requests for cancellations after the stated deadline will not be eligible for transfer or refund.
