Most L&D leaders can describe how to develop a high-performing team. But somewhere between knowing what a team needs to know and seeing that knowledge applied day to day, there’s a gap.
This session, led by high-performance executive coach and CEO Steve Mellor, introduces a three-stage framework for closing the standards gap. Built from research on cognitive awareness and the psychology of personal accountability, interwoven with stories from his experience leading Olympic athletes and business leaders to achieve peak performance under pressure, participants will get a structured way to understand where the resistance is between knowledge and action, and what it takes to overcome it.
Learning objectives:
-
Identify specific areas of professional drift where current behaviors have deviated from original intentions to regain operational alignment and leadership focus.
-
Apply the three-step framework to establish non-negotiable performance standards that ensure consistency across all employees and business operations.
-
Implement one concrete, protected standard immediately to build the self-trust and behavioral reliability required to sustain long-term professional excellence.
