Employee engagement has a very real impact on overall business success and yet it is frequently an overlooked factor in the business / leader success equation.
Explanation of what is meant by the term employee engagement and consideration of employee engagement being synonymous with job satisfaction and/or organizational commitment will be addressed along with the complexities of employee engagement. Discussion will encompass how and why employee engagement can literally be the difference between a low-performing organization and one that is thriving. The financial, as well as the non-tangible, costs that disengaged employees have on businesses, organizational leaders and team members will be shared. The good news is these cost can be curtailed through implementation of relatively simple steps in leadership practice.
Employee engagement truly is at the core of organizational success. Strategies for leaders to reverse disengagement and/or create and sustain employee engagement will be explored.
At the end of this session, the learner will be able to:
1.differentiate between engaged, not engaged and actively disengaged employees.
2.recognize the costs (tangible and non-tangible) of employee disengagement.
3.apply strategies to increase employee engagement.
